My name is Mike Leonardi. I live in Aurora , Illinois and am a former teacher and coach, former regional sales manager, single, never been married, no kids, no pets. My passions are people, politics, sports, music, food, and life.
These words were imprinted in my brain as a child, watching episodes of “Superman.” As I grew, these three above ideals I strive to accomplish every day of my life.
I found out early on it’s good to tell the truth because, if I didn’t, I couldn’t remember all the stories I told that were fiction. Truth cuts to the heart of the matter. I’m very pleased and honored when the truth I bring out in a subject helps my fellow man.
“If you tell the truth, it will lead to justice”. Wasn’t this the mantra we were told as youngsters? But, alas, as adults we have found that justice served is not always the case. For justice – REAL justice – we need strong, intelligent leaders of men and women. Justice is not being served to the voters or public by their governments –city, county, state, or federal alike. This is caused by the “corner we painted ourselves into” by only having two choices during an election. The TWO PARTIES NEVER LEAVE! Why would they have to listen to us, the voters? They change power every 2 to 4 years, but know they’ll always get it now, or again when the next election cycle shifts power back to their party. This country was built on competition, not only ELECTED GOVERNMENT. How could you call the same two parties getting shoved down our throat, year after year, is competitive? The same two teams always play the game, it’s like the DNC and the RNC have this sign posted on the front doors of their headquarters, “NO OUTSIDERS/PROBLEM-FIXERS WANTED”. Justice is being fair to all people.
I’m realistic enough to understand we can’t go back to the day of “Leave It To Beaver” when we, the USA , owned most of the world’s Gross National Product (GNP). But our veterans have fought too hard in past wars for our freedom to slip through our hands because of our inactivity or apathy as a nation. We must eliminate our current two-party system. It is suffocating and bankrupting the majority of the people in a silent, quiet kind of way – without them knowing. It’s an antiquated, corrupt, starting-to-smell-rotten system and it MUST BE DISCARDED if our way of life is to continue in positive directions for the majority of legal USA residents. Our country has been “dumbed down” with this archaic two-party system that pits the “GOOD v. EVIL” classic dynamic.
